A local favorite for wine tastings, tea, artisan markets, and live music. Events are posted regularly on Facebook and Instagram.

Volcano Art Center 

Just five minutes away—explore galleries featuring local artists, a peaceful forest walk, and a sculpture garden. They also host exhibits, art classes, and live music.

Hawaii Volcanoes National Park

A must-see with way more than hikes: interactive exhibits, ranger talks, performances, and classes at the visitor and art centers.

A couple tips

Volcano Climate
  • Rainforest village at ~3,750 ft elevation

  • Temperatures typically range 50–75°F (cool mornings & evenings!)

  • Wet season: November–March

  • Dry season: April–October

  • Pack layers, a light rain jacket, and comfy shoes

We have heaters in rooms and lots of extra blankets, just in case!

Food & Gas

If your planning on cooking, we recommend getting groceries and gas at a local or big box grocery shop in Hilo for the best prices and selections
